Opportunities abound in Africa, top business leaders say
More than 250 participants convened yesterday for the annual Unstuck Leadership Conference, an event that brings together marketplace leaders to network.
The attendants were drawn from the crème de la crème of the Kenyan business community, consisting of captains of industry, entrepreneurs and senior executives. The one-day conference at Radisson Blu entailed leadership presentations and insights, group discussions, speed coaching and networking activities.
“Our biggest constraint is not capital or opportunity,” said James Mworia, the Group CEO of Centum Investment. Mr Mworia talked about his experiences in business, and how he has overcome various challenges in his pursuits. Centum became the first company in Kenya to give a bonus payout of Sh1 billion to its 90 staff, translating to an average Sh 11.1 million per employee.
